Introducing another South Indian restaurant in Tokyo besides Dhaba India and Nirvanam. Sri Balaji located in Nakameguro has really delicious Goan fish curry, pannir tikka masala and basmati rice (flavored with cardamon).

Happy New Year !
Here are some photos from Hatsumoude, the first visit to the shrine on New Year.

Everyone waiting on a big line at Hie-Shrine at Akasaka to pray for good health and fortune for the year. There's a photo of this place from last year during sakura season, here.

At the end of the hike is a small but lovely shrine where a line of people wait to pray for the new year.


A beautiful Japanese pond with lanterns right beside the Atago Shrine.
This place is also beautiful in early spring with pink sakura. I'm already looking forward to the sakura season this year.

Jazzy night

My friend's husband Raymond McMorrin had a live show at this nice jazz club in Aoyama called Body and Soul. We all had a wonderful evening and enjoyed the performance with great food and drinks. Ray is a fantastic tenor sax musician and Tiffany's clear and beautiful voice made everyone fall in love with the music. I can't wait to go to the show again next month!

Say Hello...

...to my future house dog! Isn't he ADORABLE??!

This is Banjo and he is my favorite dog living with my friend in London.
Someday in a not so far future I plan to have a dog like him...!!!

Seoul, Korea

Here are some random pictures from a trip to Seoul with the girls over last weekend. We enjoyed having more than enough food and massages at the hotel spa during our stay; it was a short but nice weekend-get-away.
