Spring motivation
At last! It's Spring!
The weather's been perfect these days and hopefully it stays like this.
Spring certainly makes me want to start something new.
I have a few things I want to do and especially looking at interior decor pictures (which always make me happy) I'm inspired to do something fresh for my own wonderland.
待ちに待った春の陽気が続いてます！
春になるとなぜか新しい事を始めたくなります。この時期にやりたい事がいくつかあって、例えばこんなインテリアのビジュアルを見てると自分の部屋も新しく変えたい気持ちにさせられます。
So this is what I have in mind for this spring...
1. Rearrange funiture layout
2. Paint the wall of my bedroom
3. Plant flowers in the balcony (I wish I have a garden!)
そこでこの春に考えている事は、、
1. 家具のレイアウト替え
2. ベッドのある部屋の壁のペンキ塗り
3. バルコニーに花をたくさん植える （ガーデンがあればいいのに！）
There's nothing special about these pictures (really!) but I really like how these London apartments and windows are always decorated with green and flowers. It would be nice to have my balcony like this!
大した事はない写真だけど、ロンドンのアパートメントや窓に当たり前に飾っているちょっとしたガーデニングがすてきだと思う。（さすがガーデニングの王国）こんな感じのバルコニーにしたいな！

On a beautiful Sunday afternoon...
After yoga practice in the morning, my friend and I spent the whole day chatting and enjoying the beautiful weather walking through Shibuya, Harajuku and Omotesando area. Not knowing it was the weekend right before St.Patrick's Day, we encountered a large group of people dressed up in green and a big parade happening Omotesando.
今日はヨガの後、朝からとってもいい天気だったので一日友達とおしゃべりしながら渋谷、原宿、表参道を散歩。St. Patrick's Day (アイルランドの祝日) の週末だとは知らずに歩いていたら、緑にドレスアップしてる人をたくさん見かけて大きなパレードに遭遇しました。
Amazing bagpiper performance
followed by a big marching band...
and dancing baton twirlers.
In the middle of the parade and right before this photo was taken, it seems like somebody proposed under this banner!
パレードが盛り上がっている最中、ちょうどこの写真を撮る前に誰かがこのバナーの下でプロポーズしたみたいです！
Marching Guinness Beer (followed by PR group of Irish pubs) and..
Irish Setters all dressed up for the parade!
I never thought there were so many Irish or Ireland-related people (and dogs!) in Tokyo but it sure was a big Shamrock-day event!
こんなにもアイルランドと関係がある人（と犬！）が東京にいるとは思わなかったけれど、大きなイベントで盛り上がってました！

Today is...
My Birthday!
I am so happy to have recieved so many sweet birthday wishes from my friends from all around the world today! It is a beautiful full moon tonight and I think this makes it even special. This year will be a great, exciting year with many, many things to look forward to!

Golden Marmalade
It's that time of the year again.
A box full of home-grown natsu-mikan arrived from our relative's. Funny how they're called 'natsu' (summer) mikan even though it's still March and chilly.
また今年も夏みかんがたくさん届きました。
まだ３月で寒いのにちょっと季節外れな名前。
But they're just too sour to be eaten!!
でも容赦なくすっぱくて食べられません！
So what I do is......
という事で‥
Take lots of peels....
夏みかんのピールをいっぱい‥
into a big pot of natsu-mikan with sugar...
みかんの実、お砂糖と一緒に大きな鍋に入れて‥
and let the slow cooking begin....
スロークッキングを始めて‥
after about 2.5 hours of simmering ...
約２時間半コトコト煮詰めたら‥
